Racial harmony, tolerance recipe for success: Perlis Raja Muda

KANGAR: The racial harmony, as well as tolerance and understanding among the multi-racial society, which is the recipe for the country's success should be upheld, said the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who is also Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) president, said the spirit of patriotism should be instilled among Malaysian' s multi-racial society to create a harmonious living.
"For example, in neighbouring Thailand, the harmony among the people transcends religion and culture," he said after handing over MAIPs' donations to Sekolah Agama (Maktab) 25's representative, Thanarat Watcharap-isud, in Bangkok yesterday.
The school has 40 students.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin also congratulated the Dakwah Center of the One Centre Malaysia, which is managed by MAIPs, for organising various programmes aimed at enhancing racial unity and harmony , with the latest the "Hari Masjid Terbuka" (Mosque Open Day) at the Al-Hussein Mosque in Kuala Perlis.
The programme, which received a positive response from the the public, especially the Muslims, would be expanded as an effort to foster unity and racial harmony, he said.
Meanwhile, the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil wished Merry Christmas to all those celebrating the occasion today and hoped that the spirit of love, mutual respect, tolerance and unity among the people in the state would always be enhanced. — Bernama
