Four youths rob, kill Pakistani security guard

KUALA LUMPUR: Four youths robbed and killed a Pakistani security guard at the Jalan Permai 2/14 water treatment plant in Puchong Permai, Selangor, early today, and police arrested all the four within hours of the crime.
Subang Jaya District Police chief ACP Mohammad Zalin Sadari said the guard, Muhammad Gul, 69, died after he was slashed in the head and hands at the guardhouse at about 12.30am.
The police had arrested three suspects as early as 4am and the fourth sometime later, he said to Bernama.
"A preliminary investigation found that the motive was robbery. The four youths, aged between 16 and 20, were in a state of intoxication and had run out of money to buy more alcoholic drinks," he said.
He also said that the police seized a machete, clothing and shoes. The youths had admitted to discarding the machete and clothing near the scene of the crime, he said.
Mohammad Zalin said the body of the guard had been sent to the Serdang Hospital. — Bernama
