KTMB extends commuter service on New Year's Eve

KUALA LUMPUR: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will be extending the operation time for its commuter service to 2am on Jan 1 in conjunction with the New Year's eve celebration.
In a statement today, KTMB said they would provide additional train service covering the KL Sentral-Batu Caves, KL Sentral-Seremban, KL Sentral-Port Klang and KL Sentral-Rawang/Tanjung Malim routes.
"The additional train service is for the convenience of the public celebrating New Year's eve in the city such as Dataran Merdeka, KLCC and Bukit Bintang," it said.
According to the statement, the last train from KL Sentral to Batu Caves is scheduled at 1.30am, Seremban (1.35am), Port Klang (1.40am) and Rawang/Tanjung Malim (1.50am).
However, the additional train service from Rawang to Tanjung Malim will not stop at the Serendah, Batang Kali, Rasa and Kuala Kubu Baru stations.
The last train to KL Sentral from Batu Caves is at 10.55pm, Seremban (10.06pm), Port Klang (10.00pm) and Rawang (10.45pm).
The three stations which have their operation hours extended are Bank Negara, Kuala Lumpur and KL Sentral.
Members of the public are advised to use the Commuter Link or Touch 'n Go cards to ensure a smooth journey.
