MARANG: District Education Offices, school authorities and the Parent-Teachers' Associations should meet the students' parents as soon as possible to inform them of the Primary School Assessment (PPSR) and the School-Based Assessment (PBS) reports to help students excel in 2018.
Chairman of the State Committee on Education, Science, Technology and Transformation A. Latiff Awang said parental support was needed to help students excel in academic and co-curricular activities.
"What is important is the acceptance of educators and parents that the PPSR is an agenda of the national transformation programme.
"We hope that with close cooperation from the educators and parents, future Terengganu generations will excel in all fields," he told reporters on his visit to Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Sawa on the first school day in 2018.
A Latiff said the objective of the national education transformation agenda was to ensure that students excel not just academically but in other areas as well including their personalities and life values. – Bernama
