All of us must grasp 5Rs

I ENJOY reading theSun and Dr Goh Ban Lee's column Local Counsel.
Goh is not tired to point to ways to improve urban living.
He quite rightly argues that a move to create "Smart cities" does not relieve us from following the 5Rs – reduce, reuse, recycle, repurpose, refuse.
Having grown up in Germany, I automatically separate the garbage in my condo, but am dismayed to see that the cleaners put all of it into one container.
Perhaps all those working in the solid waste sector have to be educated first to make the dream of a clean and green Penang come true.
