Thunderstorms, heavy rain in most states until noon Friday

KUALA LUMPUR: The thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in many states in Peninsular Malaysia are expected to persist until noon today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
It said in a statement that the states are Kedah (where the affected areas are the Yan, Kuala Muda, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu districts), Penang, Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama districts), Negri Sembilan (Rembau, Seremban and Port Dickson districts), Malacca, Johor (Tangkak and Muar districts) and Pahang (Pekan and Kuantan districts). – Bernama
