KOTA BARU: The Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) is ready to lend six Kelantan players to any team interested in getting their services, in a move to reduce the expenditure of the association this season.
KAFA president Bibi Ramjani Ilias Khan said the players were Mohd Faizul Nazlin Sayuti, Hattaphon Bun Aun, Mohd Nasharizam Abd Rashid, Rozaimi Azwar Mat Zin, Shafiq Abd Rahman and Mohd Haikal Mohd Nazri.
"So far, KAFA has negotiated with several football teams to allow the six players to play in the Malaysian league this season," she told reporters during a contract signing ceremony for a new Kelantan striker, Bruno Lopes from Brazil, here today.
Bibi Ramjani said that KAFA's monthly budget was estimated at RM1 million to manage the Kelantan team management as well as the President's Cup and Youth Cup teams this year.
She believed with the presence of five new import players and assisted by local players, the Kelantan team would be able to give competition to other teams.
"We are targeting the Kelantan team to be in the top five in the Super League this season and higher up the rung in the FA Cup and Malaysia Cup," she said. – Bernama
