Drugs worth RM160,000 seized from man in JB

JOHOR BARU: Police seized drugs worth over RM160,000 following the arrest of a 26-year-old man, here, last night.
Johor police chief, Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said the man was nabbed in front of a supermarket in Skudai, about 9.35pm.
He said on checking the suspect, police found 200 Erimin 5 tablets, 62.34g Syabu, 9.80g Ketamine and 39 Ecstasy pills.
"The discovery then led police to the suspect's apartment unit in Taman Sutera Utama where they found 10,100 more Erimin 5 tablets, 77.58g of Ketamine and 11 Ecstasy pills.
"All the drugs seized are worth a total of RM162,233.85," he said in a statement, here, today.
Mohd Khalil said the suspect was being remanded for seven days until Jan 15 for further investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which provides for the mandatory death sentence, upon conviction. — Bernama
