KUANTAN: The number of flood victims in Pahang increased slightly to 383 people at 8am today, from 325 people last night.
Malaysian Civil Defence Force director in Pahang, Colonel (PA) Zainal Yusof said the flood victims were at 10 relief centres, with five of them in Pekan, accommodating 308 evacuees, from 270 people last night.
The five relief centres are at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Temai (122 people), Pulau Manis Evacuation Centre (75 people), Tanjung Pulai Multi-purpose Hall (39 people, SK Acheh (34 people) and Kampung Lamir Evacuation Centre (38 people).
The number of flood victims in Raub also increased from 49 to 69 people and they are being accommodated at Masjid Jamek Kuala Semantan (30), Balai Raya Kampung Tersang (26) andSurau RRM Cheroh (13).
The remaining evacuees are at Balai Raya Kampung Baru Pertanian in Maran (three) and Dewan Terbuka Kampung Serau in Lipis (three). — Bernama
