Cop killed after car skids on KL-S'ban highway

KUALA LUMPUR: A policeman attached to Serdang district police headquarters died after the car he was driving skidded along KL-Seremban Highway near Istana Negara exit here early this morning.
In the incident at 12.30am, Sergeant Low Nyuk Chian, 54, died at the scene due to severe injuries.
City Police Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Zulkefly Yahya said the victim, who was driving a Proton Wira, had lost control and crashed into a concrete beam.
"The victim was on his way back home after his duty. Initial investigation revealed that the suspect suffered injuries on his face and leg," he said today.
The victim's body was sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for autopsy and the case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
