Pakatan Harapan GE14 seat distribution only benefits DAP: Idris Jusoh

BESUT: The distribution of seats among Pakatan Harapan coalition members comprising Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) and the DAP announced recently for the 14th general election (GE14) is seen as only benefiting the DAP.
Umno Supreme Council member cum Besut MP, Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said this was because the seats given to other opposition parties were difficult to win and they were contested to split the Malays including in Besut.
He said this clearly showed DAP was using the Malays especially Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who is now PPBM chairman to obtain the support of the Malays to win GE14.
"The DAP needs the support of the Malays to rule. I pity Tun Mahathir as he had colluded with the DAP strategy to break up the Malays.
"I want to remind the Malays not to be taken in by the DAP agenda. They do not accept the struggle of Islam and the Malays as their objectives," he told reporters after a Gathering with Besut Retirees here today.
Idris added the Malays should study DAP carefully as it was not the best party (to rule Malaysia) as seen from the leadership, corruption and transparency issues besetting Penang now. — Bernama
