The people must consider 3 factors, says Salleh

KOTA KINABALU: The people must consider three pertinent factors when choosing the government to lead them, according to Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
"We must elect a government that can ensure stability of the country, able to provide development opportunities for the people and can ensure that the future of the country remains in good hands.
"All of these can be found in the present BN. For example, we have various programmes including the National Transformation 2050 to sustain the future of the country," he said.
He said the good rapport between Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak had helped to expedite Sabah's development.
"Therefore, the people must continue to support the current government for the country's development and stability," he said at the Holy Nativity Parish's New Year 2018 open house in Kampung Terawi, Penampang near here today.
He cautioned that certain quarters were trying to create disunity among the state's population of different ethnicity and religion, other than insinuating that the people in Sabah had been marginalised.
He refuted the innuendo, dismissing it as a political wile.
"I guarantee that the government remains obligated to what had been agreed during our independence," he said, adding, leaders in Barisan Nasional acknowledged the significance of the agreement.
Meanwhile, Salleh said the government had allocated RM600,000 to upgrade the parking lot and hall of the Holy Nativity Church in Terawi.
"The allocation is an attestation of the government's emphasis on fairness for the people, regardless of religion and race," he said. — Bernama
