PETALING JAYA: Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar of Johor received a replica of the iconic foot-powered car shown in The Flintstones cartoons from the Pahang royal house yesterday.

Unlike the original, this working version of Fred Flintstone's car has its own motor. The driver and passenger won't have to rely on their feet to power the prehistoric ride.

The car, inspired by the Hanna Barbara's cartoon, was a gift to Sultan Ibrahim from The Regent of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

The Flintstones is Tuanku Sultan Ibrahim's favourite cartoon, with Fred Flintstone being his favourite cartoon character.

It was presented to the Sultan by the Pahang Crown Prince's official representative, Datuk Manjit Abdullah, at Istana Pasir Pelangi in Johor Bahu.

The car comes complete with a makeshift cloth "roof" with a cut-out back screen in lieu of an actual rear window.
