Father of 4 charged with wife's murder

TAIPING: A father of four was charged in the magistrate's court here today with murdering his wife.
No plea was taken from labourer Mohd Fadil Zainan, 41, who allegedly killed Noorwaheedah Abdul Wahid, 38, in Matang here, around 8.30pm on Jan 11, as the case is under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
He faces a charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the mandatory death sentence on conviction.
Magistrate Mohd Hairol Jemain set Feb 19 for remention. The prosecution was represented by deputy public prosecutor Nor Raihan Rithwan while the accused was unrepresented. — Bernama
