Fire destroys 30 shops, mosque in Kinabatangan

KINABATANGAN: A fire destroyed a row of 30 shops and a mosque in Kampung Paris 3 near here early today.
No one was injured in the blaze, the cause of which and damage have yet to be ascertained.
Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station chief Nurul Azlan Jalalludin said the station was notified of the fire at 2.34 am and it sent 13 firefighters in two trucks to the scene.
"The firefighters arrived at the scene, some 58 km away, at 3.12 am and brought the fire under control at about 5 am," he said. — Bernama
