DBKL wants an end to traffic problems in Lucky Garden

KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) wants an end to traffic congestion in Lucky Garden in Bangsar here, said its Executive Director (Project Management), Datuk Mahadi Che Ngah.
He said the problem arose due to the attitude of customers at nearby stalls who parked their vehicles indiscriminately on the road shoulders and had become acute since which resulted in serious traffic since the middle of last year.
"Eating stalls here are always crowded with customers who park their vehicles on the roadside to the point of disrupting traffic here. Because of this, residents have difficulty accessing their homes as the routes are blocked by the parked vehicles.
"So, they (the residents) suggested that DBKL turn some roads here as one-way streets, but it should be looked at from other angles as well," he said after a recent visit to the housing estate recently. Also present was Lembah Pantai Umno Division chief Datuk Seri Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin.
Meanwhile, Raja Nong Chik said he hoped that the stalls at Lucky Garden would be relocated not far from the original location. — Bernama
