MCA, Umno to jointly run 8 district polling centres in Indera Mahkota

KUANTAN: Eight district polling centres (PDMs) in the Indera Mahkota parliamentary constituency which were previously headed by the MCA will henceforth, be jointly managed by Umno and MCA, in lieu of the coming 14th General Election.
Indera Mahkota Umno division chief, Datuk Mustaffa Kamal Abdul Hamid said the decision was made in a meeting involving all Indera Mahkota Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders last week.
"We have agreed to appoint Umno representatives as joint coordinators at the eight PDMs and we will decide on the representatives to be named at a meeting scheduled for this Monday," he said.
He was speaking to reporters after the closing ceremony of the Touch Point Cabinet Away Day Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (Polisas) 2017 programme in Kampung Balok Baru here today.
Also present was Polisas director Norlida Abd Razak.
The programme, a joint effort involving Polisas, the Prime Minister's Department's Implementation Coordination Unit and the Higher Education Ministry focuses on creating positive social impact via students sharing their expertise and experiences. — Bernama
