Police nab three buddies with drugs worth RM32,000

KEPALA BATAS: Three buddies, believed to be members of a drug distribution syndicate, were arrested by police with heroin and syabu worth RM32,000 in a raid on a house in Taman Pantai Intan, Butterworth, yesterday morning.
Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) District Police chief ACP Noorzainy Mohd Noor said based on information received and intelligence work, a police team raided the house at 2 am and arrested two men and a woman, aged 27 to 49 years.
"The police team also seized seven packets of heroin weighing 1,745g and three packets of syabu (0.8g), all valued at RM32,000," he said here, today.
The trio told police they obtained their drug supply from a syndicate, repacked and sold them to their clients around Butterworth.
Police had identified the drug distribution syndicate members and efforts to track them were underway.
In another development, police arrested three people aged from 17 to 21 years, believed to be members of a housebreaking gang, in a raid in Penaga, on Thursday morning. — Bernama
