Police step up security during Thaipusam

PETALING JAYA: Police will step up security during the Thaipusam celebrations, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun.
He urged the public to cooperate fully with the authorities.
"We hope the public and visitors will extend their cooperation to the police to ensure the celebrations will go on smoothly," he said today.
Muhamad Fuzi stressed that those with information that could possibly disrupt the event and create any untoward incidents are urged to come forward and inform the police.
