Umno has clear direction to help people: Musa

SANDAKAN: The clear direction of Umno in helping the people has allowed its leaders at various levels to effectively assist them, especially at the grassroots, said Umno Supreme Council member Tan Sri Musa Aman.
Musa, who is also Sabah Chief Minister, attributed this to the organised framework within Umno, which saw its leaders going on the ground to meet the people.
"There is no party in the world that has a good, comprehensive and orderly framework as Umno, a party that serves the people," he told reporters after the Libaran division's 'Umno Assists the People 2.0' programme, organised by Umno Welfare Bureau here today.
He also noted the leadership of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as Umno president, who has implemented many policies and programmes to help the people nationwide for their well-being.
Hence, Musa said the people of Sabah, as strong supporters of the Barisan Nasional (BN), would reciprocate these good deeds and ensure the rapid progress that benefitted them would continue.
Earlier in his speech, he said the mandate given by the people to Umno had been translated into the implementation of programmes that touched their lives, especially the needy.
"Umno as a caring party always go on the ground to see for itself the needs of the people and help them from time to time," he added. — Bernama
