9 hurt in Rembau bus-trailer truck accident

SEREMBAN: Nine people sustained injuries when a bus rammed the rear of a moving trailer truck at KM232.1 North-South Expressway (PLUS) northbound near the exit at Pedas-Linggi, Rembau, early today.
Negri Sembilan Fire and Rescue director Norazam Khamis said the bus was carrying 30 Bangladeshi nationals in the 3.53am incident.
"One of the passengers was seriously hurt while the rest sustained light injuries including the bus driver. They were brought to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital Seremban," he told Bernama when contacted.
He said the bus was believed to be heading to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, Kuala Lumpur from Johor Baharu. The cause has not been ascertained.
Norazam said 30 personnel from the fire and rescue stations in Rembau, Tampin and Alor Gajah, Malacca, arrived at the scene within half an hour following a distress call. — Bernama
