Corpse of newborn girl found near jetty

KLANG: The corpse of a newborn girl was found floating near Jeti 7 Asia Niaga Barter Trade, here today.
The baby was discovered by members of the public at about 10.30am.
"There is no (visible) injury on the baby and a post-mortem will be conducted on Friday to determine the cause of death," said South Klang district police chief ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli.
He urged private clinics or individuals who know of any person in the area who had just given birth to contact the police to help facilitate investigations.
The case is being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealment of birth by secret disposal of a dead body.
