AirAsia sponsors Dota 2's Team Mineski

AirAsia marked its first foray into e-sports as a special sponsor and exclusive airline partner of Mineski Pro Team.

Mineski Pro Team is the top Dota 2 team in Southeast Asia, and is also currently ranked fifth in the Dota Pro Circuit, with 810 qualifying points to The International 2018.

Mineski Pro Team will be competing at the ESL One series held at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting, beginning today to Sunday, Jan 28.

ESL One Genting 2018 marks the third official Minor tournament of the year and will see the top 16 Dota 2 teams battle over a prize of US$400,000 (RM1.55 million) and 400 Qualifying Points to determine their journey to The International 2018.

The five-man team consists of Malaysians Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung and Kam "NaNa" Boon Seng, Singaporean Daryl Koh "iceiceice" Pei Xiang, Thai Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong, and Filipino Michael "ninjaboogie" Ross Jr.

The one-year sponsorship was announced today at a press conference held at Genting International Convention Centre (GICC), Resorts World Genting on the sidelines of ESL One Genting 2018.
