Teachers reminded to be a good example to students

ARAU: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim has reminded teachers to strive to be educators that are held in high esteem by the community.
"No matter how angry, we cannot condemn the leaders, as our behaviour is observed by everyone and we have to be a good example to others because we are educators."
He told this to reporters after attending an informal dialogue with teachers in the Arau Parliamentary constituency at Arau Matriculation College here last night.
At the function, Shahidan took into consideration the applications by schools in the constituency for government allocations of RM20,000 and below.
He said the ministry would ensure these allocations were approved to enable the students to study in comfort. — Bernama
