Woman among three detained for distributing drug-laced drink powder

KUALA LUMPUR: Police detained three individuals, including a woman, for allegedly distributing drink powder packets believed to have contained ecstasy at a house in Taman Sungai Besi Indah, Seri Kembangan, near here last Saturday.
Serdang district police chief ACP Megat Mohamad Aminuddin Megat Alias said police discovered 15 multi-coloured pills, believed to be ecstasy as well as 12 grape and ice lemon tea-flavoured drink bottles that were believed to be mixed with ecstasy, worth RM6,000 in total, following a raid at the house.
Also seized were two cars, namely a Perodua Kancil and Perodua Bezza, believed to have been used in distributing the substance, he said when contacted, here today.
Megat Mohamad Aminuddin said the suspects, aged in their 20s, were being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
He also urged members of the public especially the young to be wary of such drug distribution tactics and consumption in entertainment outlets. — Bernama
