Seven-day remand for suspect in dental technologist's murder

SEREMBAN: Police have obtained an order to remand for seven days a suspect in the murder of dental technologist Mahusin Abd Rahim, who was found dead at his home at the Lukut Health Clinic Staff Quarters last week.
The remand order against the 19-year-old suspect was issued by Special Remand Court assistant registrar Norharyatie Mohd Said following an application from investigating officer ASP Zakaria Zainal.
Meanwhile, Port Dickson district police chief Supt Zainudin Ahmad said the suspect, who is unemployed, was arrested at a house in Johor Baru at about 9pm yesterday.
He said police also seized a Y152ZR Yamaha motorcycle and a crash helmet which belonged to the victim from the suspect.
The investigation also found that the suspect had used a credit card belonging to the victim, he told reporters here today. — Bernama
