Two suspects in connection with torching of customs officer's cars released on police bail
KUALA LUMPUR: The two men who were detained for investigation into an arson case involving four cars belonging to the family of a senior customs officer in Putrajaya last week have been released on police bail today.
Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department head SAC Rusdi Mohd Isa confirmed the release of the two men when contacted by Bernama here today.
The two men were detained last Monday for investigation carried out under Section 435 of the Penal Code for mischief by fire.
In the incident which occurred last Jan 23, four vehicles belonging to the family of Customs Senior Assistant Director Nur Azman Mat Jini were torched at 3.30am in front of his living quarters at Precinct 11 in Putrajaya. The fire also almost destroyed the front portion of the living quarters. — Bernama
