Woman arrested for theft, stolen clothes hidden between thighs

TAWAU: A woman was caught red-handed with nine pieces of stolen clothes hidden in between her legs at a supermarket here, yesterday evening.
Tawau District Police chief ACP Fadil Marsus said the 50-year-old woman who was apprehended by the supermarket's staff at about 7pm, had no personal identification documents and lived in Batu 2 here.
"The witness, who is a staff of the supermarket saw the suspect acting in a suspicious manner and then saw her stuffing some clothes in between her thighs, before apprehending her outside the supermarket.
"The suspect was taken to the supermarket's office and checks by the witness and several female workers revealed nine women's robes stolen from the supermarket," he said in a statement here, today.
Fadil said the suspect was handed over to the police for further investigation. — Bernama
