Sexual favour: police detain nine individuals

PUTRAJAYA: A fight, which ensued after a male supervisor allegedly asked to have sex with a female worker under his supervision, ended with the arrests of seven men and two women.
Putrajaya district police chief ACP Rosly Hassan said the brawl took place at a fast food restaurant at Precinct 15 here at about 11.19pm yesterday.
"The fight was believed to have started when one of the male suspects asked a female worker for a sexual favour.
"Family members and friends of the female worker gathered at the restaurant to meet the suspect and a fight broke out which also involved the suspect's two friends," he said when contacted today.
He said police, who arrived at the scene after receiving a complaint, arrested seven men aged between 21 and 49 and two women aged 22 and 24 to assist in investigations.
According to Rosly, the suspect believed to be the supervisor, was injured and is being treated at the Putrajaya Hospital.
"Police are looking for a wooden object which could have been used in the incident," he said adding that efforts have been intensified to track down witnesses.
