Boy, 3, seriously injured in hit-and-run accident

KUALA LUMPUR: A three-year-old boy was seriously injured in a hit-and-run incident at Jalan Raya 6, Serdang Jaya, near here yesterday.
In the incident at about 1.30pm, the victim was about to cross the road with his aunt, who is in her 40s, when he suddenly let go of her hand and ran towards the road when he was hit by a car.
Serdang police chief ACP Megat Mohamad Aminuddin Megat Alias said the aunt escaped unhurt, while the driver of the car fled from the scene.
"The victim, who suffered body injuries and has a blood clot in the brain, was sent to the Serdang Hospital," he said, adding that the car registration number was not taken down.
He also appealed to eye-witnesses to contact the police. — Bernama
