PUTRAJAYA: The DAP central executive committee (CEC) re-election on Nov 12 last year complied with all the requirements as directed by the Registrar of Societies Malaysia (ROS).
In a statement, ROS said the decision was based on the formula obtained from the ROS investigation.
"The ROS agreed that the full report of the re-election be kept by the firm, Grant Thornton for a period of time as required by the party's constitution.
"The official letter informing the decision of the Registrar of Societies will be issued on Monday, (Feb 5)," said the statement.
DAP held its CEC re-election at the Ideal Convention Centre Shah Alam, (IDCC), Selangor as directed by ROS through a letter dated Sept 21 last year.
The international audit firm Grant Thornton, which was appointed by DAP, has submitted a full report of its CEC re-election through a letter dated Nov 27 last year.
The CEC re-election was held after ROS received complaints on the DAP CEC election that was held in 2012 and DAP CEC re-election on Sept 29, 2013.
The statement said ROS received 17 complaints on the matter from Selangor, Negri Sembilan and Penang since last Nov 28. — Bernama
