Woman hacked to death in hotel room

KUALA LUMPUR: A woman in her 30s was found dead, believed to have been hacked on the head, in a hotel room at Pekan Batu 11, Balakong, Kajang near here this evening.
Kajang District police chief, ACP Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said police found the victim sprawled in blood upon opening a hotel room door after being informed by the management that a guest had not checked out by noon.
"Further investigation found the woman, who registered at the hotel on Sunday, had been hacked on the head," he said in a statement here today.
He said the race and identity of the victim had not been ascertained as there were no identification documents at the scene and the motive for the killing was still being investigated.
Ahmad Dzaffir said the body had been sent to the Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem. — Bernama
