KUALA LUMPUR: The Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM) has hit out at a handful of irresponsible individuals who disseminated the salaries of Kedah Super League players for 2018 season.
PFAM secretary, Ahmad Fauzi Saari in a statement stressed that the issue of salary is a very sensitive matter and any leak in the information is an invasion of a player's privacy.
He said the action was unprofessional and against the value of integrity as well as the principles of professionalism of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and the Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP).
"It can threaten the security of players and their families. The situation is worsened if the information displayed is not true which would affect the players concerned negatively," said Ahmad Fauzi today.
In this regard, Fauzi said PFAM was demanding quick action by the authorities against the individuals concerned to avoid a repeat of the incident.
