Marine police arrest man, seize smuggled firecrackers

JOHOR BARU: The Marine Operations Force arrested a man at his house here early today and seized RM7,000 worth of smuggled firecrackers.
MOF Region Two commander ACP Paul Khiu Khon Chiang said the 41-year-old man was caught during a raid on his house in Ulu Tiram at 12.15am.
Various types of firecrackers were found in the living room, he said in a statement, and added that it was believed that the firecrackers were to be sold in conjunction with the Chinese New Year. — Bernama
