JOHOR BARU: Police are still investigating the death of a baby during a botched home delivery at a house in Pulai here on Sunday.
Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said the case is still at the primary investigation stage, and declined to give further details.
He was responding to a query on the case after a press conference at the Johor police headquarters this morning.
Police also confirmed that the newborn's mother has lodged a police report at the Johor Baru South police station.
The case has since gone viral. The homebirth was supervised by a childbirth helper (doula) and the baby is believed to have died of complications.
