Duo hammer their way to a RM100k jewellery heist

ALOR STAR: Two men hammered their way into a RM100,000 jewellery heist in Jalan Kota near here this afternoon.
Using hammers, the robbers smashed eight glass display panels at a goldsmith shop, scooped an assortment of jewellery into a black bag and escaped on a motorcycle in the 12.30pm incident.
In a statement here, Kota Star police chief, ACP Mohd Rozi Jidin said the police were alerted of the hold-up by an alarm company.
He said the police had mounted an operation dubbed 'Ops Tutup' to track down the suspects. — Bernama
