EPF eyeing Latin America market, global market asset exposure to grow to 32%

    KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF), which recorded the highest ever gross investment income of RM53.14 billion in 2017, is looking to expand into the Latin America market this year.
    Speaking at a media briefing today on EPF dividend 2017, its CEO Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan said the move is in line with the pension fund's strategy to diversify its global market exposure and to capture more global growth.
    Currently EPF is present in 30 global markets.
    In addition, it is also targeting a higher global asset exposure to 32% this year from 28% in 2017.
    EPF announced a dividend rate of 6.9% and 6.4% for its conventional and syariah schemes respectively over the weekend.
