Sports Toto launches first concept store in JB

JOHOR BARU: The launching of Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd's first concept store here marked a new milestone for the company.
Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd executive director Nerine Tan, who launched the concept store, said since the privatisation of Sports Toto in 1985, the company has expanded into having approximately 680 outlets nationwide.
"As one of the number forecast companies, we are always challenged by the volatile economic environment as well as the illegal operators.
"As a law-abiding company, we strive to overcome these obstacles through innovative and creative ways and within the laws of our country," she said during the launch on Thursday.
Tan said to meet the demands of the customers, Sports Toto has been constantly innovating its games and playing methods to make the games more interesting and fun to its customers.
She said the most important criterion for the concept store is that it has to be strategically located and easy for the customers to visit the concept store.
"With its spacious and modernised design, we want to offer our customers a comfortable environment so that they can relax and take their time when placing bets.
"Our concept store also has a dedicated claim counter which provides better privacy to our customers who come to claim their winnings.
"Sports Toto is confident that the new concept store is able to provide its customers a fresh impression that will appeal to not only regulars but also new customers.
"We hope that our concept store will be made available for all in other parts of the country soon," she added.
The concept store will also serve as a hub to facilitate and organize corporate social responsibility-related programmes as part of the company's efforts in giving something back to the society.
