Gunung Semanggol assemblyman in ICU after fall

BAGAN SERAI: Gunung Semanggol state assemblyman Mohd Zawawi Hassan of PAS has been hospitalised in Ipoh after he lost consciousness following a fall at home in Kampung Tebuk Panchur here today.
Selinsing state assemblyman Husin Din said Mohd Zawawi was in the intensive care unit of the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.
He had fallen in the bathroom at about 10am and was found by his wife who had just returned from work at the Ehya As-Sharif Madrasah in Gunung Semanggol, he said, adding that Mohd Zawawi suffered from high blood pressure.
Husin said Mohd Zawawi was rushed by his wife to the Taiping Hospital and he was transferred to the hospital in Ipoh at about 3pm.
Mohd Zawawi is also the Perak PAS secretary. — Bernama
