Yinson to establish RM1.5b sukuk programme

    PETALING JAYA: Yinson Holdings Bhd said its wholly-owned subsidiary Yinson TMC Sdn Bhd (YTMC) will establish a sukuk Mudharabah programme with combined programme limit of RM1.5 billion in nominal value.
    Proceeds from the sukuk programme will be used to refinance outstanding financing facilities/loan or sukuk/debt facilities of the group and for general corporate purposes such as working capital and funding of equity contribution and/or capital expenditure for new projects.
    In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said YTMC has made a lodgement with the Securities Commission Malaysia for the establishment of the sukuk programme.
    Yinson said the first issuance of Sukuk Mudharabah under the programme shall be made within sixty business days from the lodgement date.
    The sukuk programme will be unrated and is structured based on the Shariah principle of Mudharabah.
    AmInvestment Bank Bhd and Maybank Investment Bank Bhd are the joint principal advisers, joint lead arrangers and joint lead managers for the sukuk programme.
