Ahmad Zahid receives courtesy call from four new M'sian envoys

PUTRAJAYA: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today received a courtesy call from four newly-appointed Malaysian envoys at his office in Perdana Putra Building here today.
They were Malaysian High Commissioner-designate to South Africa Mohamad Nizan Mohamad, Malaysian Ambassador-designate to Poland Chitra Devi V.Ramiah, Malaysian Ambassador-designate to Myanmar Zahairi Baharim and Malaysian High Commissioner-designate to Nigeria Gloria Corina Anak Peter Tiwet.
Mohamad Nizan formerly served as the Malaysian Ambassador to North Korea from 2015 to 2017, while Chitra Devi was the former Malaysian Ambassador to Timor-Leste.
For Zahairi, he was the Undersecretary of Multilateral Economic and Environment Division of the Foreign Ministry since 2016 prior to his appointment as Malaysian Ambassador to Myanmar.
Gloria Corina, on the other hand, was the director of Sarawak Regional Office of the Ministry since 2016 prior to her appointment as High Commissioner of Malaysia to Nigeria.
She is also the first Sarawakian woman from the Dayak ethnic group appointed as a Malaysian High Commissioner. — Bernama
