GRAB a box of tissues and hold a friend's hand as you read the following tear-jerking story.
30 poor doggies were poisoned to death by some people at night near a housing area in Simpang Ampat, Penang recently.
According to Oriental Daily, these canines were raised by an old man who lives nearby. He uses the dogs to guard his fields.
It all started a month ago when the dogs started dying one after another in batches, which puzzled the old man.
Later he discovered his dogs were poisoned by some unidentified stranger in the middle of the night.
They mixed poison in the food causing the dogs to vomit and finally their bodies would twitch as they lay helplessly struggling for life.
The poor old man was once left with no choice but to bury 10 dogs at one time. He had to cleared it quickly to ensure other animals in the fields would not fall victim to the poison as well.
The reason behind this cruel action is that neighbours were displeased at the rate dogs were breeding and decided to do something.
Now there is only a few dogs remaining and no more poison to be found in the area but isn't there better way to solve this issue?
