Provide feedback to improve NS, Hishammuddin urges Patriots

KUALA LUMPUR: The National Patriots Association (Patriots) has been urged to provide feedback to improve the National Service programme.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said the move would provide a better selection rather than criticising the programme.
"I will put it to them ... what programmes are they suggesting to instill patriotism (for the youth). If they have a better option, then pass it to me.
"Tell us how we can help to assist the programme," he said in a news conference after launching the Perkasa Perwira logo at the Defence Ministry's Wisma Perwira hall today.
He was responding to the veteran's group which had claimed the NS training programme had not produced results and failed to inculcate patriotism among the youth.
The group had reportedly alleged the result was partly due to the programme being handled by inexperienced personnel.
