Two drug peddlers nabbed in separate operations

BUKIT MERTAJAM: A 36-year-old man was detained after police found a packet containing powder and a 230.4g lump of heroin worth RM4,100 at the back seat of his car today.
The suspected drug pusher was arrested at the Prai Toll Plaza near the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR) during a roadblock at about 12.05am.
Central Seberang Prai district police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said the suspect tested positive for methamphetamine.
The unemployed man also has seven previous criminal records, five of which are related to drugs.
"Investigations are ongoing," Nik said in a statement to the media.
Meanwhile, in a separate raid, police detained a 49-year-old drug pusher who was in possession of various types of drugs, during a raid at a house in Pintasan Sembilang in Seberang Jaya at about 10.30pm last night.
During the raid, police seized twenty-six transparent packets of ganja and three aluminium foils containing drugs believed to be erimin 5.
Police also discovered another 13 red aluminium foils containing erimin 5 drugs in the television cabinet.
A sling bag, a wallet and the drugs worth RM3,150 were all seized.
