Chinese national found dead in house

JOHOR BARU: A Chinese national was found dead in a house at Jalan Terubuk 3, Kahang, near Kluang today.
Kluang district police chief ACP Mohamad Laham said Wang Weihang, 37, was found dead by his 52-year-old Malaysian housemate at about 2pm. He then lodged a police report at the Kahang police station.
Mohamad said the Malaysian housemate discovered Wang dead after he broke down the door of his housemate's room, when his knock on the door and call for his name went unanswered.
According to the Malaysian, he had known Wang, who came to Malaysia in November last year, for seven years. Following investigation, it was found that Wang was a police officer in China.
Mohamad said investigation also found that Wang was charged in the Kluang magistrate's court on Dec 12 last year under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act with causing death by reckless driving.
Following which, Wang was ordered to surrender his passport to the court pending the disposal of the case, he said.
He said police classified the case as sudden death and Wang's body was sent to Enche' Besar Hajjah Kalsom Hospital, Kluang, for post mortem to determine the cause of death. — Bernama
