Acer wins 12 iF Design Awards 2018

ACER announced that it had been awarded 12 awards for design excellence at the iF Design Awards 2018. According to the Taiwanese tech company, the winners were notified in February, ahead of the official announcement and awards night, which is to be held at the BMW Welt in Munich on Mar 9.

"We are delighted to be taking home 12 iF Design Awards as it recognises the outstanding capabilities and work of our colleagues in industrial design and research & development to ensure the synergy of form and functionality," said Tiffany Huang, President of Corporate Marketing, Business Planning and Operations at Acer, in a statement.

Winners of the iF Design Awards 2018 were selected by 63 design experts who went through 6,402 entries from 2,955 participants in 54 countries.

In the end, 1,218 iF award winners will be announced and 75 of them honoured with the iF gold award.

"Also, our results this year held special significance for us as it is the first time designs for Predator gaming devices have led the way for Acer with six awards," added Huang.

According to Acer, six of the 12 awards that they won were for the Predator gaming device, software and packaging designs. These are specifically for the Predator Orion 9000 desktop, Predator Triton 700 notebook, Predator X27 monitor, Predator X34P monitor, as well as PredatorSense software and Predator Gaming Gadget packaging design.

The other six awards were for the Acer Swift 7 notebook, Aspire S 24 all-in-one desktop, VG0 series gaming monitor, Holo360 and Vision360 cameras, and Pawbo Wagtag pet tracker.
