PETALING JAYA: The Registrar of Societies (RoS) is still looking into and considering the application to register the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition and its logo.
"We are still looking into it and it is still under consideration," said RoS director-general Surayati Ibrahim when contacted by theSun.
On Tuesday, PH president Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the coalition plans to take RoS to court for failing to respond to its application.
When asked for comments on Mahathir's statement to take RoS to court, Surayati said: "No comments".
Mahathir believes that it is the duty of a government agency to carry out its duties and reply to applications made by any party.
Any failure to reply may create the impression that the agency is being one-sided.
Last week, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia information chief Datuk Kamarudin Md Nor said the party has drawn out several last-minute options to stand in the coming general election if its registration is not approved by RoS.
Pressed further on the options, he said: "We will cross the bridge when the time comes".
