BESUT: A suspected drug pusher was arrested for the seventh time by the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division from the Besut District Police Headquarters in a raid at Kampung Tok Dor Luar near Jertih early today.
Besut police chief Supt Mohd Zamri Mohd Rowi said the 38-year-old unemployed man was also tested positive for Morphine.
He said the raid was carried out at 3am after the man was spotted behaving suspiciously at a surau in the village.
"When he saw the police approaching, he tried to run away with a black bag, but was immediately apprehended," Mohd Zamri told reporters here today.
He said police found five bottles containing heroin, four straws containing 40 Yaba pills and cash of RM600 believed to be proceeds from the sale of the drugs, in the man's bag.
Two other bottles of heroin were found in the vicinity of the surau, he said, adding that all the drugs worth about RM2,850 were believed to be distributed around Besut. — Bernama
