Azizan is Malaysian government's security DG

    KUALA LUMPUR: National Security Council (MKN), National Disaster Management Agency, Operation Implementation Division director Datuk Azizan Abu Taat has been appointed as the new Malaysian Government Security director-general.
    Meanwhile, Datuk Sanusi Sidek, who was the Malaysian Government Security director-general took over Azizan's post as the new (MKN) National Disaster Management Agency Operation Implementation Division director
    The Bukit Aman Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Secretariat Royal Malaysia Police Corporate Communication chief Datuk Asmawati Ahmad said Azizan and Sanusi were among six police senior officers who were involved in transfers and job co-ordination exercises effective Mar 26.
    According to Asmawati, the transfer also involved the Perak Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK), Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department deputy chief DSP Kamarulzaman Jusoh @ Mohd Daud who was promoted to Pahang IPK Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief as acting Superintendent.
    The statement also announced that the Negri Sembilan IPK, CID DNA Databank Investigation (D13) Staff Officer, ASP Anuar Bakri Abdul Salam was appointed as the Rembau police chief as acting DSP.
    Meanwhile, ASP Shahnaz Akhtar Haji who is now police chief at Jitra station in the Kubang Pasu District Police Headquarters (IPD) was appointed as Yan district police chief as acting DSP.
    Asmawati also said that the Kuala Terengganu IPD Strategic Resources and Technology Department chief would head the Terengganu IPK Strategic Resources and Technology Department as acting DSP. — Bernama
