Malaysia, Hungary sign MoU on higher education

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia and Hungary today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in higher education.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh signed on behalf of the Malaysian government and Hungarian Ambassador to Malaysia Attila Kali signed for the Hungarian government.
Idris said through the MoU, the Hungarian government would offer 40 scholarships starting from the academic year 2018.
"Scholarships will be awarded for three years to students who are furthering their studies in Hungary in agriculture, water engineering, architecture, and cultural heritage studies," he said at the signing ceremony here.
He said the scholarship would also be offered to students of natural, environmental and health sciences.
In addition, Idris said the MoU was expected to facilitate the recognition process of universities in both countries, as well as establishing collaboration in scientific, technical and administrative fields. — Bernama
